1. About Astyne and Aether ONE
Astyne is developing Aether ONE, a connected consumer device intended to help users prepare fresh
solution batches for supported skincare and home-care uses, together with related digital features,
applications, and connected-device functionality.
Aether ONE may connect with an Astyne account and mobile application so that users can register a device,
complete setup, pair a device with an account, configure supported settings, access device-related
information, receive updates, and obtain customer support.
Because Aether ONE and related features may be introduced, tested, changed, or expanded over time, this
Privacy Policy applies to current and future Services that link to or reference this Privacy Policy.

platforms.
The categories of information we may collect are described below.

Astyne may offer a pre-launch program under which a customer can pay a $1 Founder Reservation Fee to
obtain eligibility for a specified promotional benefit, such as a $50 Founder’s Edition discount toward one

an offer.
The $1 Founder Reservation Fee is addressed more fully in our Founder Reservation Terms. In general,
unless otherwise expressly stated by Astyne, the Founder Reservation Fee is not a purchase of an Aether
ONE device, is not a preorder, and does not by itself guarantee product availability, Kickstarter funding,
manufacturing, shipping, delivery, or a final purchase price.
Payment information is generally processed by our payment service provider. Unless we expressly tell you
otherwise, Astyne does not directly store your full credit or debit card number or complete payment card
security code.

practices of third-party authentication providers.

When you download, install, open, or use the Aether mobile application, we may collect information
necessary to provide, maintain, improve, secure, and support app functionality, including:

permissions may prevent some features of the app from functioning properly.
6. Information Collected Through Aether ONE Devices
Aether ONE may be associated with an Astyne account and may communicate with the app, our systems, or
authorized service providers in order to operate supported connected features.
When you activate, register, pair, connect, use, maintain, or obtain support for an Aether ONE device, we
may collect or associate information including:
Device serial number;
Device identifier;
Product model, version, hardware revision, or production batch;
Claim code, setup token, or ownership verification information;

functionality, safety, diagnostics, customer support, warranty administration, or improvement of the
Services.
We may link information about a device to the Astyne account or customer associated with that device. This
allows us to help verify ownership, support account pairing, prevent unauthorized claims, provide updates,
diagnose issues, offer warranty or customer service, and help maintain product reliability and safety.
7. Information About Product Usage and Solution Preparation
Depending on the features enabled in the app or Aether ONE device, we may collect information about
supported product operation, such as:
The selected mode or supported use setting;
Selected solution strength or concentration setting, where applicable;
Selected volume or batch size;
Date and time of a device cycle;
Cycle duration or operational completion status;
Error, interruption, warning, maintenance, or safety-related events;
Water, salt, cartridge, ingredient, refill, or consumable status, if measured or recorded by the device;
Product usage history, where synced to your account or needed to provide app features, support,
diagnostics, or safety monitoring.
Aether ONE is not intended to be used as a platform for submitting health diagnoses, medical records, or
other sensitive health information. Please do not submit medical or sensitive health information through
the Services unless Astyne expressly introduces a feature designed for that purpose and provides
appropriate notice.
8. Wi-Fi and Local Network Information
Certain Aether ONE setup features may require connecting the device to your home or local Wi-Fi network.
During setup, the app may allow you to provide or transmit information such as:
Wi-Fi network name, also known as an SSID;
Wi-Fi password or network credential;
Connection status;
Setup and pairing diagnostic information;
Local device discovery information required to identify and connect to your Aether ONE device.
Our intended practice is that a Wi-Fi password provided during setup is transmitted securely to the Aether

Astyne does not intend to store raw Wi-Fi passwords in its cloud database.
We may store limited connection information, such as network name, setup completion, device connectivity
status, error information, or diagnostic information, where reasonably necessary to provide device setup,
technical support, or service reliability.
You should only provide credentials for a network that you are authorized to use and connect to the device.
9. Payment and Transaction Information

Payment method type;
Partial card details, such as card brand and last four digits;
Payment confirmation and transaction identifier;
Payment status;
Tax, refund, dispute, fraud prevention, or chargeback information;
Order, offer, discount, reservation, or redemption information.
Payment providers process payment card information according to their own privacy and security practices.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Astyne does not directly store complete payment card numbers or
security codes.
If you later support or purchase Aether ONE through Kickstarter or another third-party commerce or
crowdfunding platform, that platform may separately collect and process personal information under its
own privacy policy. We may receive information from that platform if necessary to administer a Founder’s
Edition benefit, communicate with supporters, verify eligibility, fulfill a product, or provide support.
